Ve la ricordate Laurie, la squillo che Sam Seaborn frequenta "per sbaglio" in West Wing? E vi ricordate quanto fosse adorabile il povero Sam, preoccupato di non urtare la sua sensibilità? Ecco, diciamo che probabilmente era un po’ autobiografico.

Laurie: Oh, wait. I’m sorry. Your message — your pager went off while you were in the shower. I hit the button because I thought it was mine.
Sam reads the beeper, while Laurie recites the message.
Laurie: "POTUS in a bicycle accident. Come to the office."
Sam rushes to get dressed.

Sam: It’s not that I don’t see the logic in that, but I really gotta go.
Laurie: Cause POTUS was in a bicycle accident?
Sam: Yup.
Laurie: [writes her number on a piece of paper, grabs one of the beepers and puts them in Sam’s shirt pocket, while giving him a kiss] Tell your friend, POTUS, he’s got a funny name. And he should learn how to ride a bicycle.
Sam: I would, but he’s not my friend, he’s my boss; and it’s not his name, it’s his title.
Laurie: POTUS?
Sam: President of the United States. I’ll call you.
